More pictures from the iDate 2009 in Miami

I just found some more pictures from the iDate back in January. Have a look:

They also released a few interesting videos from attendees, exhibitors and sponsors.

It really was a great event and I met many interesting people. The next iDate takes place in Los Angeles June 25-26, 2009.

I hope to see you there!

Ongoing data recovery after Hosteurope downtime

+++ Due to the downtime of our hosting provider this weekend we are still in the process of recovering some registration data. Affected are only new registrations between Wednesday, April 15th and today (Monday, April 20th). +++

Some people who have signed up as a new user during that time might not be able to log into their account. We are working on recovering all data but suggest users that have problems logging in to register again.

We apologize for any inconvenience!

New servers are up and running

As we continue to grow it was time to expand our hardware capacities. So for the last couple of days our awesome server admin Frank did the magic and set up what you see below. He did also not forget to mention that all of our servers are in the same datacenter as the BCIX (Berlin Commercial Internet Exchange) and that we have:

  • several time redundant connections
  • redundant power supplies
  • hardware-loadbalancing
  • 100% open source software (linux for all servers and freebsd for the loadbalancers)
  • and a lot of other cool stuff that only admins understand… ;-)
